Last Saturday CrossFit Tidal Wave in Galveston competed at the Mayhem at Moody event located at Moody Garden’s. It was a challenging series of WOD’s and our Team as well as our individuals PR’d and took away lessons to alter the competition programming. As this was our first Team competition RX we are ecstatic with how our teams performed. Here are the Events as scheduled:
Wod 1: Co-Ed Teams 12 min to find team total Clean and Jerk
Wod 1: Individual Men/Women Rx 6min amrap 5 shoulder to overhead (135/95) 5 chest to bar pull ups 10 double unders 5 shoulder to overhead 5 chest to bar pull ups 20 double unders 5 shoulder to overhead 5 chest to bar pull ups 30 double unders so on an so forth for 6 mins Wod 1: Individual Men/Women Sc 6min amrap 5 shoulder to overhead (115/75) 5 pull ups 10 alternating single leg jump ropes (5 on right/5 on left) 5 shoulder to overhead 5 pull ups 20 alternating single leg jump ropes (10 on right/10 on left) 5 shoulder to overhead 5 pull ups 30 alternating single leg jump ropes (15 on right/15 on left) so on and so forth for 6 min 15 min amrap 1500m row (split as a team) *then each member picks a movement to complete 50 wall balls (20/14) 40 pull ups 30 front squats (135/95) 120 dubz after all reps are complete then amrap bar muscle ups (glide kips will not be allowed.) when one athlete drops, the next moves in. every athlete will have to make an attempt before getting back to first athlete. Wod 2: Individual Men / Women Rx BB complex (1 clean + 2 Front Squats + 1 Jerk) 7 min to find heaviest weight you can perform for the complex. Wod 2: Individual Men/Women Sc Wod 3: Co-Ed Teams 15min time cap 100’ slam ball toss alt men (30lb) 100’ slam ball toss alt women (15lb) then as a group complete the movements split however 100 box jumps (24” for everybody) 50 dead lifts (185/135) 50 burpees 50 hang snatches (135/95) 100’ hand stand walk alt between all 4 members (50’ down, 50’ back) Wod 3: Ind Rx men/women 12 min amrap 25 wall balls (20/14) 20 t2b 15 front rack lunge steps (115/75) 10 squat snatches (115/75) 5 bar facing burpees 10 squat snatches 15 front rack lunge steps 20 t2b 25 wall balls amrap bar muscle ups with remaining time Wod 3: Ind scaled men/women 12 min amrap 25 wall balls (20/14) 20 ab mat sit ups 15 front rack alt lunge steps (95/65) 10 snatches (95/65) 5 bar facing burpees 10 snatches 15 front rack alt lunge steps 20 ab mat sit ups 25 wall balls amrap ring dips with remaining time There were a lot of challenging elements to the these WOD’s. With multiple first time competitors and two newly rx’d teams we are ecstatic with everyone’s performance.
