Everyone who has ever worked out with “Peeps” remembers her. She is 30% Self Deprecation 30% Cheer Leader 40% Bull Horn. Which ever she comes to is going to be a lively one. Be it stopping mid WOD to dance or request something a little more “thuggish” to listen to Peeps is always a riot. Most notably, she recently placed 2nd in our Body Composition Challenge. She has plowed ahead with hard work and consistency and it clearly shows. So, what brought you to CrossFit Tidal Wave? The Facebook pictures. Everyone looked like they were working so hard, so much pain and suffering. All the people were soaking wet and skinny. When I was leaving my gym I was fresh as a daisy and yeah….still chubby. I was not getting the results I wanted by just going to the gym when it was convenient and eating whatever I wanted. I knew I needed a change. Why did you stay? 2 Reasons: 1. The camaraderie 2. The results I’ve achieved How long have you been CrossFitting? 5 months What do you do out there in the real world? I work for the best city in the world, the City of Galveston in the City Manager’s office. I also work part time at Island Church working with our youth group. Do you have a favorite lift? Power or Olympic? Dead Lifts. All day. Your favorite WOD? I like the ‘Diane’. Favorite Song to do the WOD? Any song that would be played at Daiquiritas….And if you don’t know what that means, anything Shaun hates. Any changes to brag about? I’ve lost 15 lbs., gone down 3 pant sizes and lost many inches. What are your current goals? I have about ten more pounds to lose. Master the art of double unders and toes to bar. Anything else to add? Glad you asked, yes! Thank you. Thank you Shaun and Taylor for bringing this experience to Galveston (Lord knows I drive over the causeway for no one). It’s been such a great experience to push my fitness limits. I would have never done it alone. Thank you fellow Crossfitters for cheering me on when I’m tired and inspiring me when I’m down. You guys keep me coming back for more! Yall are awesome. And last but not least, thank you to Dustin (Mr. Peeples) for footing the bill for it all and being my number one fan! ]]>
